GETTING MARRIED: Please contact the priest as soon as you have an approximate date for your wedding. You will be asked to attend preparation sessions and some paperwork is also involved. A year in advance is not too early to see a priest.

SPONSOR LETTERS: Please know that if you are in need of a sponsor letter you must be a registered and a active parishioner for at least six months. An active parishioner is one who attends Mass regularly and receives the sacraments. The importance of this is that by being a sponsor you will be taking on active part in raising the child in the Catholic faith

WINTER COAT COLLECTION-We will be collecting winter coats in good condition for Men, Women, and Children through the month of November. All coats will be given to those in need at the Don Bosco Center in Port Chester. Please leave all coats in the Social Concerns bins. Your donations will help keep people warm this winter!
PRAYER SHAWL REQUESTS- Do you know someone who is ill or bereaved, or is feeling the effects of aging and could use a shawl or lap blanket for comfort and warmth? We will be happy to donate one to them. You can also select one for yourself. THANKSGIVING MASS will be on Thursday November 22nd morning at 9am and there will be no 7:15am Mass. The Rectory will be closed on Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving
PANCAKE BREAKFAST will be served on Sunday, November 18th after the 8am and 10am Masses! Plan on joining the Bingo Boys! Also please support the Bingo Boys who are men who will be selling raffle tickets this weekend and next as a fundraiser for the American Legion Hall on Legion Drive which is need of some repairs.
The next Youth Group Meeting is Sunday, November 18th at 6:30pm. The Youth Group is hosting a BLOOD DRIVE on Sunday, November 25th from 8:30am to 2:30pm and sign up is this weekend. Please consider donating a pint of blood to help those who desperately need it!
THANKSGIVING ECUMENICAL SERVICE
The annual community Interfaith Thanksgiving Service will be held at the Valhalla Methodist Church on Tuesday evening, November 20th, at 7:30 p.m. This gathering of Roman Catholic, Methodist, and Muslim congregations celebrates our commitment to interfaith dialogue as we give thanks for the many blessings of faith, family, and community. An offering will be collected to benefit the Ecumenical Food Pantry in White Plains, and non-perishable food items may be brought as well.

CHRISTMAS ANGELS-CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR FAMILIES IN NEED - Can you help a local family in need this Christmas? A sign up list will be in the front vestibule of the Church during the weekend of November 24th & 25th. An index card for a family will be posted with each person in the family listed with suggested gifts/sizes. Print your name, phone number and email on the chart next to the family of your choice, take the index card, shop for the family and wrap the presents (if possible, include the gift receipt). Put a tag on each present for the intended recipient, e.g. girl - age 5; mom - size S, etc. All gifts are due no later than Monday, December 10th. Bring the gifts to the Rectory during regular business hours or call/email Gail Morrow (761-7294, firstname.lastname@example.org) to arrange a time to meet. Thank you so much for helping others in need this Christmas.
The ROSARY ALTAR SOCIETY is delighted to welcome ten new Rosarians that were installed at the meeting held on Wednesday, October 24th: Annette Adimari. MUNCHKINS WITH SANTA –On Sunday, December 9th after the 10am Mass Santa will be here to meet the Children of HNJ. All are invited! Parents bring your camera and snap a picture! Munchkins, apple juice, coffee and tea will be served!
CHRISTMAS CRAFTS- We will be making Christmas crafts for residents of area nursing homes on Saturday, December 1st, from 12:30-2:30 in the cafeteria. Come join us! This is a great activity for individuals as well as families. No special skills required. The crafts we make will go to residents of approx. 6 local nursing homes.
